Art with 2 visuals.
Helene Gillier, born in 1966 is a self-taught artist. She has devoted several years to creating 3D pieces using digital manufacturing.
During this time, she has collaborated with artists from different backgrounds to reproduce or enlarge their original sculpture pieces.
This quite naturally lead her to developing her own kinetic and optical creations. Her inspiration comes from Kinetic artists of the 60âs such as Yacoon Agam and Carlos Cruz Diez.
Each of her works offers 2 different views to the spectator who chooses which to view by simply moving around the work.
The 2 visuals created in computer graphics are first printed on metal, she then cuts each table into strips which she then connects torecompose the 2 original visuals thus achieving the stunning kinetic effect.
Her work is bright, colourful and cheerful. Her visuals stage the heroes of her adolescence, mixing characters, eras and styles on a pop art background.
